Privacy Policy

1 Introduction

GeoSaffer ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information our Apps collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

This policy applies to all applications published by GeoSaffer (collectively, the "Apps"), available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and any other distribution channels we use. What each App accesses depends on its features; see below and each App's store listing for specifics.

2 Information We Collect

Key point: Our Apps are designed to minimise data collection. We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number through the Apps themselves.

The types of data that may be accessed or processed depend on which App you use and what it does — including whether it uses connected hardware, online services, sync, or cloud features. The following table describes typical categories; not every App uses every category, and storage or transmission can differ by App:

3 How Data Is Used

All data accessed by our Apps is used solely to provide the App's core functionality, for example:

  • Bluetooth data to display readings from connected hardware (not stored beyond the session unless you choose to save it).
  • Location data for maps, routes, or related features — whether it stays on the device or is sent elsewhere depends on the App and any connected or online services; see the App listing.
  • Network data to query publicly available or user-directed server information where the feature requires it.
  • Advertising and measurement where the App is ad-supported.

We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4 Third-Party Services

Our Apps may include the following third-party services:

  • Advertising networks: Some Apps display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). These networks may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and general usage data to serve relevant ads. This data collection is governed by the respective ad network's privacy policy.
  • Google Play Services: Our Android Apps may use Google Play Services, which may collect certain device and usage information as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple frameworks: Our iOS Apps may use Apple frameworks, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5 Data Storage & Security

User data generated by our Apps is stored locally on your device unless an App clearly states otherwise. We do not operate remote servers that store your personal app content across all Apps as a general rule.

While we take reasonable steps to protect information within our Apps, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data stored on your device.

6 Permissions

Each App requests only what it needs for its features. Exactly which permissions appear depends on the App, whether it uses connected hardware or online services, and your platform (Android vs iOS). Examples you might see include:

  • Bluetooth / Bluetooth LE: Only where an App talks to peripherals or nearby devices; not used by Apps that do not need it.
  • Location (precise or approximate): Only where mapping, tracking, region features, or a connected service requires it; behaviour varies by App — see the store listing and in-app prompts.
  • Network / Internet: For ads, content, sign-in, multiplayer, sync, cloud backup, or server features when those exist for that App.
  • Camera, photos, or files / storage: Only where you can capture, attach, import, or save media or documents; not required for Apps without those features.
  • Other permissions: (e.g. notifications, microphone, calendar) only when a specific App implements a feature that needs them — always disclosed at install or first use for that App.

You can review or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings; some features may stop working if you deny access the App depends on.

7 Children's Privacy

Our Apps are rated for all ages and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since our Apps do not collect personal information from any user through the Apps themselves, no special provisions for children's data are required beyond platform rules. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

8 Your Rights

Since our Apps typically store data locally on your device, you have control over your data. You may:

  • Delete stored data within the App where that feature exists.
  • Clear the App's data or cache through your device settings.
  • Uninstall the App to remove associated data from your device (subject to platform backup behaviour).
  • Manage permissions through your device settings.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you may have additional rights including the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data. Please contact us to exercise these rights.

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
